At 254,000 s.f. and 65 acres, MOSI is the largest Science Museum in the Southeastern US.  AND it features some very big items in its enormous exhibit spaces.   Join us for 

MOSI is now 37 years young and has been at the Fowler Ave. location since 1982.  Like the butterflies it houses and protects, MOSI has metamorphosed in its 37 years from small to mature - and boasts two wings, East (the educational 

that was completed in 1994.

In the main entrance hall, you can purchase your tickets and plan what time you want to visit the Saunders Planetarium, MosiMax Theatre and

Universe Cafe

Coleman Science Works Theatre showings.  

Both the Universe Cafe and the Museum Gift Shop flank the main lobby on either side.  MOSI also hosts a branch of the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library, with an

extensive collection of science books, video tapes, and computers for seeking science information on the World-Wide-Web.  

Straight ahead, two enormous Sauropod dinosaur skeletons stand watch over the stairs to the second floor.  Airplanes, a whale, and the famous underwater exploration vehicle, Alvin, are also above you.

Science Store

The main floor houses the temporary exhibit hall, where you can now experience the Power of Magnetism.  Now, up the stairs or ride the elevator to the second floor.
